Special Requirements
Dietary Needs
With gluten and nut allergies in our family, we thoroughly understand the concerns of those on special diets, and the importance of being confident that your requirements are understood. In our experience, Disney World takes all dietary needs and preferences very seriously and works hard to ensure they are accommodated. They even offer gluten and dairy free Mickey waffles!
Tell us about your specific requirements and we will help you to follow the right procedure to ensure your needs are met with minimum fuss and lots of choice.
As a quick guide most table service and counter service restaurants can accommodate the following common allergies/intolerances:
Gluten/Wheat
Eggs
Fish
Milk/lactose
Nuts
Shellfish
Soy
Corn
Lots of restaurants can also easily accommodate lifestyle requests too: low-fat, low-sodium, no added sugar, vegetarian, vegan, etc.
Guests with any allergy not listed above, or those on Halal or Kosher diets, can also expect to be accommodated at most dining locations, providing arrangements are made in advance.
Guests with Additional Needs
At All Ears we are committed to ensuring every guest is able to access and enjoy all aspects of their Disney World holiday to the full. Disney World has a lot of procedures in place to help make this possible, and we can help you navigate these procedures to ensure you are able to access everything available to help you and your family.
Some things on offer across the resort are:
Disability Access Service (DAS)
With the issuing of a DAS pass, guests who have problems waiting in queues and their families can be issued return times comparable to the current wait time at any ride. Instead of having to queue, this means that they can continue to enjoy the rest of the park, and simply return at their specified time to ride.
Rider Switch
This gives guests the opportunity for some of the party to enjoy a ride while others wait with a guest who is unable to ride for any reason. They can then swap, so these party members can enjoy the ride without having to queue again.
Break Areas
Should a guest become overstimulated and need some down time, there are dozens of areas around the park where they can be directed to take a break.
Companion Restrooms
There are lots of companion restrooms across the parks which are larger than usual.
ECV/Wheelchair Rentals
ECVs (motorised scooters) and wheelchairs are available for rent across the parks.
Stroller and Wheelchair Tags
Guests who need to remain in wheelchairs while in attraction queues can be issued an identifying tag to facilitate this.
Handheld Assistive Listening and Captioning Devices
Assistive Listening Devices, which amplify sound through headphones or an induction loop, and Handheld Captioning Devices are available for use at certain attractions.
Sign Language Interpreters
Sign language interpretation is offered at specific live shows on a rotating basis.
